Greenfield Lake Amphitheater
The Marcus King Band is on a tour titled "Marcus King Band Goes to School." To keep with the theme, this concert on Saturday, April 19th, is their Homecoming dance! They'll be playing here at the Greenfield Lake Amphitheater in Wilmington. This show is one of only two stops in the Carolinas for the band that was formed in Greenville, South Carolina. They'll bring along those Blues tunes with the electric guitar lines that serve as the perfect backdrop to their country songs.
The night promises to be a mix of sentimental and upbeat music the likes of which you'll only be able to replicate with the boys out fishin with a questionable playlist. They're not alone on this night, Dogpark will be the opening act on Saturday, April 19th. This band typically features a lot more jazzy tunes with a voice that is a lot less grunge than what you can expect out of Marcus King. It's a good mix that's going to give the event a little bit of everything for fans to enjoy. If you want to have a night out at the Greenfield Lake Amphitheater, with The Marcus King Band mostly providing the soundtrack for the evening, be sure to hit that get tickets button soon.
The Marcus King Band always brings that nice blend of country blues with some rock on the side. They're the type of music that you listen to with your buddies when some of the super sentimental country is getting too out of hand! These guys come in with heavier guitar lines to make sure that you don't lose the rough edge. The lyrics, though, are still about love and loss a lot of times. You still want these tracks to hit deep; you just want them to be a bit louder! That's exactly what The Marcus King Band can do for you.
This type of music works perfectly in a live setting inside a venue like the Greenfield Lake Amphitheater. The vibe is going to be a mixture of those chill country songs that were mentioned earlier. They'll pack more of a punch, though, than what you get from most of the other bands in the region. This band was actually started in South Carolina, so don't be surprised if they get a ton of local support! That element is always a welcome one because it creates this closeness with the audience that they may not have at other stops on this tour. That means they could be willing to take more chances with new tracks or acoustic versions of hits like "Goodbye Carolina" or "Rita is Gone." You won't be too "Homesick" watching these guys from your backyard, but that song can also evoke a ton of memories from a time when maybe you were. Just cause they bring a little more rock doesn't mean the mood changes all that much from your sentimental country night. It's a bit of a trap!
This event, like many at the Greenfield Lake Amphitheater, will be accessible through a general admission pass. If you want to find a spot near the stage next to The Marcus King Band, you'll want to make sure that you arrive early. The doors are going to open at 7 pm. That could be a good guide to let you know how soon you want to head to this area. Click that get tickets button now to be a part of this "Marcus King Band Goes to School" show!
